I logged on to Xanga...

and suddenly it feels like it is the election year...

But...

Perhaps that's because it is...

Ummm... Aaanyways...

Talking about election, I think I used to think that election is all about selecting the best of the best to run the country...

But..

As times goes by, it seems to be more of selecting the least terrible among the terrible choices available...

I agree. It has been years as adopted electing the least problem to office. I mean does anyone believe anything they say in a campaign.

It's gets more annoying as it gets closer to the elections. More posters, more vocal campaigns, more mudslingings.

People just posted a campaign poster outside my mother's house just because her house is in the same row with the house of Sabah's former Governer (Yang DiPertua Negeri). It's so annoying. We can't take it down.

Not that we have much choice in choosing amongst the available candidates. There are a lot good people who know and talk tons about politics, but they rather discuss about it at the kopitiam (coffee shops) or mamak stalls than be a real politician.

I think this year will be the messiest elections for both Malaysians and Americans. I've never seen people so vocal against the Malaysian current government. I hate to say this but people are saying our current prime minister and the missus are most unpopular power couple ever. Even our beloved laureate Pak Samad is with the opposition. I absolutely adore Pak Samad - he's very charismatic and I love all his poetries and books.

So true. But I think that may be one of them will be better. Someone who doesn't lie as much and who is liked by people not because how much more money he can have donated to his campaign.
