Sometimes I wonder how the japanese brain are wired... A lot of times, actually... They keep doing stuff that are so ridiculously crazy all the time...
I believe some of the things you have seen them online, on youtube for instance.. Some of the pranks that they do made me think that I should be aware 24/7.. and surely I would never ever go in any public toilet in Japan, ever... (if you wonder why, I put some youtube video at the end of this post)
One of the product of their craziness is certainly their game show... Some of them actually made its way to the US... Majide game show took some American contestants to Japan to compete in the game show, in I survived a Japanese game show... Then Sasuke made its way to the US in the form of American Ninja Warrior... I think they even took the Mount Midoriyama obstacle course to the American soil in the latest season... (If you don't know any of these, you can just see videos of them on youtube)
And recently I found some videos on the game show DERO... Well, the game show might not be that recent, just that I just recently found it on youtube... and.. to give some feeling of what's in the game, this is the first game for the contestants to survive in the show, I believe...
Amazing concept right? I know!!
Yeah, it might not be totally original, as we have saw the SAW movies, but a game show with such format is so cool!!
But of course, no one in the show need to cut off their legs and all those fun stuff... There are some interesting games throughout the 'obstacle challenges'... The fun of the challenges is, simply due to the fact that you have to complete it in environments that in real life would be somewhat a life-or-death situation, like the one in the video above, or in a room where the ceiling is continuously coming town to crush you, or trapped in a room with water pouring in to drown you... yeah, that kind of stuff...
I think the only comfort for the participants are that they know the producer of the game show will not actually kill them for real, haha... Otherwise I think we'll see people really freaking out of their mind...
